As-Salama Foundation

The As-Salama Foundation is an Islamic charity being established as a Public Ancillary Fund registered and constituted under Australian laws and governed by the board of directors of a not-for-profit trustee company, As-Salama Ltd.

Objects:

1. To operate as a Not-for-Profit Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) 2.

2. To procure, receive and accept contributions, donations and gifts of moneys, funds and hereditaments the undertaking whereof would be deemed desirable for any one or more objects of the Foundation.

3. To provide grants to DGR1 charities that carry out community development efforts to promote, foster and deliver educational and general welfare and assistance in alleviating poverty and distress to Australian Muslims and any members of Australian society in need.

4. To promote the religious, educational and socio-economic welfare of Muslims in Australia.

5. To provide means for the dissemination and teaching of, and foster interest in, Islamic knowledge and belief as well as art and literature.

6. To promote, foster and provide for the religious and secular education of Muslims in Primary and/or Secondary and/or Tertiary educational institutions by establishing grants, awards and scholarships.

7. To promote the establishment of a mosque or mosques and/or any other Islamic place(s) of worship or religious centre(s) or institution(s).
