Shariah Finance Board
The As-Salama Shariah Finance Board oversees compliance with shariah of all activities undertaken within the ecosystem, including of the financial products offered by and investment activities conducted within As-Salama.
Aims and Objectives
1. To play a consultative role in the As-Salama ecosystem in relation to all shariah matters.

2. To provide general advice to As-Salama regarding compliance to shariah of all activities undertaken within the As-Salama ecosystem.

3. To provide specific advice to As-Salama regarding compliance to the fundamental principles of Islamic finance, of the financial products offered by and investment activities conducted within the ecosystem.
Advisory
Remits
1. Review As-Salama’s investment and marketing/promotional strategy, plans and materials to ascertain their compliance to shariah principles.

2. Review disclosure documents and reports prepared by participants in the ecosystem that are subject to formal regulatory oversight in Australia, to ascertain their compliance to shariah principles.

3. Advise on potential and actual breaches of shariah principles and purification measures that should be taken in respect of any actual breaches.

4. Advise on any other matter pertaining to shariah compliance in As-Salama’s activities and offerings.
